“Implementation of an LDPE regranulate production buffer machine to enhance the recycling value of secondary raw material, reduce energy consumption, and decrease the amount of disposed waste.”
The aim of this project is to increase the efficiency of the plastic recycling process and improve the recycling quality of the produced regranulate in the form of LDPE regranulate.
This objective will be achieved by introducing an innovative, proprietary buffer machine into EKO-WTÓR’s production operations, which will allow for standardization of the film flakes and removal of moisture.
The target group of the project includes both the local community — current and future employees of the company — and the global community, including all potential recipients of regranulate produced using the new technology.
The implementation of the project will achieve the following effects:
- Increased energy efficiency in production and operational processes
- Reduced greenhouse gas emissions
- More efficient material management
- Reduction of waste quantity or its reuse/recycling, including aligning the company’s operations with the Zero Waste principle
- Decreased carbon, water, and environmental footprint
- Greater employee engagement in improving pro-environmental outcomes
